The Juilliard School

Juilliard is a difficult place to study

and extremely rewarding one at the same time.

It is not a place to discover yourself as an undergraduate

as an enormous amount of work is required of you.

Hoever, for graduate students and very mature undergraduates,

it is a place where musicianship will be demanded

at the highest level in the best way.

줄리어드는 어려운 공부를 하는 곳이다.

하지만 분명히 동시에 그만큼의 가치가 존재하는 곳이다.

줄리어드는 절대 대학생으로써 자신을 발견하는 곳이 아니다.

그렇게 하기에는 너무 많은 과제와 싸우게 될 것이다.

그러나 대학원생들이나 성숙한 대학생들에게는

음악에 대한 기술과 기교, 교양을 최고의 레벨에서 배울 수 있는 곳이다.

This school is living on an old glory and legacy.

At this point and time – anyone applying is simply wasting their time and money.

A young person needs a great teacher and personal care.

Juilliard is only a name.

I have never seen a faculty member show up to student recital concerts.

All my friends had private tutors on a side as the teachers simply don’t care.

이 학교는 과거의 영광에 사로잡혀있다.

누구든 지원하면 돈과 시간을 낭비하게 될 것이다.

젊은 사람에게 필요한 것은 좋은 선생님과 관심이다.

난 어느 교수도 학생의 공연에 와 보는 것을 보지 못했다.

내 친구들은 모두 레슨 선생님을 따로 두고 있는데, 교수들이 전혀 신경을 안쓴다.
